I think it's a very good thing. Local artists get local film makers to make 5 minute documentaries about them, their work, their process and the Journal puts them up on their website. So far the documentaries are nice little statements about nice little artists, but they're well-made, interesting to watch and informative.
Anything to engage with and promote local artists should be appreciated, even if it's the major newspaper and the artists are inoffensive formalists.
